About Us

The Drug Resource Enhancement against AIDS and Malnutrition Program (DREAM Kenya Trust) was established in 2010 by The Daughters of Charity in collaboration with the Community St. Egidio. We provide holistic HIV care and treatment services to poor and marginalized patients in Langata, Kajiado, Tharaka Nithi, Embu and Meru Counties.

Our Mission

To ensure free access to high quality care and treatment services for people living with HIV/AIDS without discrimination, irrespective of ethnic or regional origin, religion, or gender through a comprehensive approach that addresses medical, psychological, and social needs.

Our Vision

A world where people living with HIV/AIDS have access to holistic and appropriate treatment, and are treated with respect and their dignity upheld and enhanced. We envision communities where HIV is no longer a barrier to living a full and productive life.

Our Journey

Milestones in our history of service

2008

Foundation

DREAM Kenya Trust was established by a group of healthcare professionals and community advocates to address the growing HIV/AIDS crisis in Kenya.

2010

First Treatment Center

Opened our first comprehensive care clinic in Nairobi, providing free ARV treatment and counseling services to 500 patients in the first year.

2013

Expansion to Rural Areas

Extended our services to rural communities in Western Kenya, establishing mobile clinics to reach underserved populations.

2016

PMTCT Program Launch

Launched our Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission program, significantly reducing vertical transmission rates in our service areas.

2020

COVID-19 Response

Adapted our services during the pandemic, ensuring continuous care through telemedicine and home-based care programs.

2023

15 Years of Service

Celebrated 15 years of transforming lives, having served over 50,000 patients and expanded to 8 counties across Kenya.
